Now-a-days we can see T.V. in every home. It has become part of our family. We enjoy seeing movies, songs and serials on it. Serials impact our life in many ways. We learn how to behave, what are our expanded traditions, what politics can be done within family and till what limits our relatives can go. We also learn about fashion, architecture and interior designing from the serials.
The most important effect of the serials is on our outlook and how we see our near and dear ones. The serials are capable to change our outlook drastically. We stop trusting our dear ones and start doubting everyone or worst of all think that everyone is dumb and we try to take their advantage thinking that they don’t understand anything. Fights start between husband and wife and mother-in-law and daughter-in-law due to misunderstandings created by the serials. This happens because every woman relates herself to the troubled character of the serial and thinks that same things are happening with her or will happen with her also.
Children’s mind is also affected drastically and they become mature before their time and lose their innocence. They find out new ways to fulfil their demands and take full advantage of the situation. Parents think that in this way their children are trained to face the modern challenges but they forget that in this way their children will forget to trust and respect them also. Biggest effect of the serial is that we are made to forget our culture on the pretext of teaching our own culture. Some serials spread superstition and unwanted beliefs. People start adoring negative characters and they think to be negative is very cool.
Children see horror serials and unnecessary fears seep in their mind and take away their confidence. They see horrible dreams and wet their bed. They see the serials till late night so either they don’t wake up in morning to go to school or they sleep in their class. They stop doing their homework. They concentrate more on fashion than on studies.
Ladies finish their work very fast to become free for their favourite serials on time. They are ready to fight with anyone and everyone for remote during that time and they even don’t spare children and old people in their madness to see particular serials.
Some serials show the world and its culture these types of serials increase our knowledge and inspire us to explore so they are good to watch.
Serials have become part of our busy life and they reflect in what direction our culture is going for the TV producers show us the things we want to see. So we should decide which serials are good for us and our family and then watch them to relax.
