Food for All 1971 10 rupees coin
The proof coin has incused 'B' while the UNC coin has the diamond mark
Very
beautiful coin with 80% silver, what is rare is its pricing compared to the
1970 coin of the same denomination. The price range of 1970 coin is Rs 3500 to
4000 while the price of 1971 coin is in the range of Rs 6000 to 7000.
It’s
not easy to understand this disparity as seeing by numbers the proof sets of
1970 coins are available less as they were produced lesser than the proof coins
of 1971 coins. Also this coin of 1971 is uncirculated, means it never came in
the regular circulation. Seeing the UNC coins 1970 coin was produced in huge
numbers as it was in the circulation. Apart from this there are no differences
in these two coins, so we can see this again as the example of marketing and
making it rare for the sole profit of the suppliers.
Also
one more wonderful worth noting thing is that even the 20 paise coin issued in
1971 is valuable even though there is no difference between this coin and other
20 paise coins.
