The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma (Book Review 3/10)

The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma

A fabulous book and a must read for all the people who wish to improve their lives and come out of spirals of continuous emptiness and grief. It is the time best invested and I enjoyed it very much. A great teacher is the one who simplifies everything and feeds it to the world; Robin Sharma has done this exemplary work to the much delight of everyone. He has simplified the yogic carvings of the great life a life which is full and no emptiness can come near to it also, hats off to the author.
The essence of the book starts with a beautiful garden, in the middle of the garden is a light house and its door opens and comes out a sumo wrestler dressed in nothing but pink cable around his groin. He accidently slips on a golden watch and becomes unconscious and when he wakes up and he smells yellow roses, furthermore he sees a path studded with diamonds and goes on it and ultimately everything good happens to him.

 Symbol                                                                                                                 Virtue
The Magnificent Garden                                                                          Master your mind
The lighthouse                                                                                          Follow your purpose
The Sumo wrestler                                                                                   Practice Kaizen
The pink wire cable                                                                                  Live with discipline
The gold stopwatch                                                                                  Respect your time
The fragrant roses                                                                                    Selflessly serve others
The path of diamonds                                                                              Embrace the present

So we can see a small story can change our life dramatically and inspire us for better living, selfless living, a living which is more satisfying then our present condition. So I say it’s a must read. I read it much later but still as we say “Der aye, durust aye
