Flying with Rainbow Heart
I want to share the amazing experience my friends and I had with Spicejet.
We were on trekking expidition from Youth Hostels. We were registered for 2th Jan camp so we were to leave on 2nd Jan flight frm Ahmedabad. Unfortunately that day the flight to Bagdogra got canceled so we made in for the next day as even after arguing for 1 hour we could confirm only three tickets instead of 4 tickets.
That day we reached Kolkatta and our flight took off but some how it could not land because of bad whether even after trying for 45 min to land. I had my cup noudles and we again landed on Kolkatta's Dum-dum airport. So on that day we experienced 3 take offs and 3 landings in all so we all were damn tired and had flight like experience on the road too. We collected our luggage and were given option either for cash back or next day's flight. Now after reaching till Kolkatta we were determined to go on trek (Sandakphu-Gurdum Trek organized by YHAI WB)so we asked them for next day's flight. So I requested the base camp Darjiling for accomodating us on 4th Jan and they simply said that you all don't worry any just come. I was feeling shy as previously also we had changed the date when our flight got cancelled but was relieved by their answer.
Kolkatta being very new to us and it was totallty out of plan so we felt stranded and we took trollies and were out of the airport gate to search for the hotels nearer to the airport and also nearer to our budget. There I met two personnels from Spicejet, we had met before also at the desk for the next day flight. They asked me where I planned to stay and I answered that we were trying to search and we could not take any taxi as we didn't know about any area of that town so they finally asked me if they could search a hotel for us to which I asked for the budget as it was unplanned destination for us all. They smiled and said it was complementary from Spicejet at that moment we all friends felt so relieved and thought that our guiding angles have come on earth to assist us. Finally they called taxi and we headed to a nice hotel and we were also assured that the taxi will return in morning to pick us up at the scheduled time. Oh my goodness was I dreaming?? It happened so fast so we thanked them heart felt. I am a traveller and a photographer and I have visited lots of places but this was an unique experience and the most memorable experience.
Friends eating gol-gappas in the lighter mood at Dum-dum in the evening. This was the first thing we did after becoming fresh in the hotel.
We also got an opportunity to witness the 'Kali Pooja' going on very opposite to our hotel Transit. This was the lighted pandal for the pooja.
We got time to observe the life style of the town wherein we felt that we have come back 20-25 years in the past, really unique experience.
Some of the funky jewellery which my brother bought from the Dum-dum streets. We enjoyed a lot there, the people were very good and co-operative, we also enjoyed all local delecasies rasogulla, biryani and the Calcutty pan also. People there were nice and we enjoyed talking with them, it was really a cherishable experience.
So our gloomy evening turned into a very colourful and the most memorable experience. Thanks Spicejet for ur wonderful experience and priceless people. Hereon I have started refering Spicejet to all my friends. At this juncture I heartilly thank the two angles of this incident 1) Mr Vishnu Ramesan (Dy Mngr (APS-CCU)) and 2) Sabyasachi Das (10138) Savvy of Spicejet for this warm courtsy and hospitality. Thanks a zillion
